Christmas Decorations at the South Market Bistro and Market Street Inn Wooster

I was recently asked to help with Christmas decorations at the South Market Street Bistro and Market Street Inn in Wooster, Ohio.  The owners are friends Allan and Jayne Churchmack.  Both businesses are fabulous and I was proud to be asked to do their decorations.

Most decorations are fresh cuttings of pine, dried hydrangeas, and seeded eucalyptus.  I made gingerbread ornaments in the shape of the Inn, and their Market Street sign, for their tree.ImageImageImage

Billie Jean zippered pouch sewing project

I sewed this pouch as a birthday gift for my friend Nicolette, inspired by her greyhound puppy, Billie Jean. I followed these instructions for the pouch. For her face, I traced her photo and printed it out to make a stencil, then embroidered her face on the front of the pouch using a mix of felt and fabric. It came out really cute!
